I designed the packaging for Carbon Brews' new flagship Lager—a traditional, always-on beer that needed to stand apart from their typically playful and seasonal lineup. The goal was to signal reliability and maturity while still aligning with the brand’s creative DNA.
A shelf-ready design that breaks category norms within Carbon Brews' own product family—unmistakable, grounded, and iconic. This Lager design reinforces brand versatility while building trust in an everyday drinking experience.

“Less Whimsy, More Impact.”
While Carbon Brews is known for vibrant, experimental designs across its limited-edition beers, I took a deliberate turn: a minimalist, confident visual identity for their Lager. This was a strategic move to differentiate the core product from the rotating flavors on shelf.

Design Direction
Black as Foundation:
A clean black backdrop to create instant shelf contrast and communicate stability and boldness.

Linear Simplicity:
Fine line work with structured layout to reference the precision of traditional brewing.

Yellow Bubble Element:
A single, vibrant yellow “bubble” becomes the focal icon—a nod to carbonation and freshness, without being overly literal.
