The KMB NFT project represents a creative breakthrough—blending cultural preservation with emerging digital platforms. Developed in collaboration with the NOIZ Web3 ecosystem, this initiative pays tribute to one of Hong Kong’s most iconic transportation systems: Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB).
For many, KMB is not just a mode of transport—it’s a shared piece of local identity and nostalgia.
This NFT project was designed to digitally archive and reimagine KMB buses, transforming them into interactive digital collectables. I led the full creative concept development, visual design, and strategic roadmap planning through 2023.
Part 1: The Bus Info Card
Drawing inspiration from the traditional red-and-white bus identification design, each NFT card is styled like a digital encyclopaedia page. It features technical specifications, historical facts, and cultural references—giving fans deeper context about the specific bus model they collect. The layout reflects a balance of nostalgic design and modern UI clarity, crafted for both bus lovers and digital collectors.
Part 2: 3D Bus Model + AR Experience
Every NFT includes a high-fidelity 3D bus model that can be projected into the real world using Augmented Reality through the NOIZ Wallet App. Users can place the bus in different environments, take creative photos, and interact with the model—bridging digital collectibles with tangible, real-world interaction. This function encourages playful engagement while deepening emotional connection with the object.
Marketplace & Perks
The NFTs are available for purchase via the KMB online store and NOIZ Wallet App Marketplace. Ownership unlocks exclusive perks and will grant early access to Phase 2, which expands the KMB metaverse ecosystem with new assets, storytelling features, and community rewards.
